TikTok #ForYouFest Ad

TikTok approached us about a quick turnaround shoot to promote their upcoming #ForYouFest (now known as the TikTok Awards).

The concept was to be scripted in house by TikTok’s creative team and they were looking for a local Melbourne crew that were well-versed on comedy to shoot that year’s presenter - Tony Armstrong.

We jumped at the chance to work alongside Australia’s boyfriend Tony - and thanks to our friends at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for suggesting us.

Production

We only had one day of shooting to capture a number of set ups for videos for both broadcast and online and to promote the event at multiple points throughout the campaign.

We needed to provide full production design in both a house location as well as our studio and we needed to work quickly to pull together production design - all of which we pulled off flawlessly with thanks to our regular core team’s enthusiasm and efficiency.

The other challenge was ensuring we could nail the comedy. A tight script from the good people at TikTok and great delivery from Tony made this an easy win for us.

We had a lot to get through in just one day and two locations so our team worked quickly - setting up one shot while another was being filmed. We were able to make use of multiple spaces on location - which was just a 5 minute drive from our Brunswick studio.

Post Production

Post production was handled by TikTok so at the end of the day we loaded the rushes onto their hard drive and sent the team back to Sydney.

Outcome

Delivery of all files for the production of a series of TikTok ads for broadcast television and online.
