We're told over and over that there's no place like Humdinger in the country. Because we're comedians, we've made it specifically for comedians to come together and create.
Our co-working space is subsidised year round, providing an affordable place to work along with free and discounted access to our other studio facilities. Enjoy social events, exclusive access to live performances, first dibs on our cheap headshot days and opportunities to collaborate with us on projects when we run around the office saying, "hey, do you want to be in this thing??"
Not just a desk: rehearse, meet and podcast
At Humdinger Studios, you can just work away at a desk but we also offer a bunch of other spaces perfect for making your next festival show or prank series on Tik Tok (please not that second one).
We've got a rehearsal room with enough space to move and a meeting room with a big official looking table for all your big official looking meetings. And you also get access to our Podcast Studio - and what's a comedian without a podcast? Nothing!! Nothing I tell you!

Cheap Headshot and Promotional Photos
Throughout the year we run discounted headshot and promo photo days for creatives. We also have affordable photography sessions that we run by appointment throughout the year.

It depends! If you have an idea that you are trying to get off the ground, get in touch and we will see if we can help. If we can't, we are always happy to see if there is someone we can point you to.

Yes! We run cheap headshot days where you can book in for a short and sweet session in our studio with our professional photographer. We generally promote them across our social media, in comedy specific Facebook groups and to our Humdinger members.
It's what we love to do! We are the go-to production company for filming specials for comedians at all stages of their careers. We've filmed specials for Celia Pacquola, Melanie Bracewell, Guy Montgomery and many more. We offer a variety of packages at different price points with the most basic package starting at $5,000 + GST including editing. We shoot specials in our studio, which has a capacity of 120 people, or can shoot on location - we have shot at pretty much every comedy venue in Melbourne. We are also a production partner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and film many of their shows including RAW Comedy, Deadly Funny, The Great Debate and more. Yes! Even if you aren't a current member, we do offer discounted rates on all of our studio hire and some of other other services such as photography and videography. We're a company started by comedians and know how tough it can be, so we are always keen to help if we can.
No! We know that comedy is more than just stand-up, so if you're all about comedy but love sitting down, we're all about that too. Improv, sketch, writing, directing - as long as you've got comedy in mind, we've got a desk for you. You also do not need to be a professional comedian to access our memberships. If you're unsure if this it the space for you, please just get in touch.
We have subsidised memberships for comedians that provide access to our resources at a number of different price points. These include permanent desks, hot desks and podcast only memberships, with all tiers providing discounted use of our other spaces. The memberships are month to month because we understand that being in the arts, your circumstances can change, so you're not locked in. But if you do give up your membership, you may not be able to get it back as places are limited. Availability varies so if you are interested, get in touch quick.
